The Birth of Venus:
second Hesiod, Venus was born before the other gods of Olympus.
When the titanium Crono recise the genitals of the father of Venus
(Uranus) and threw them at the bottom of the sea, blood and semen
contained therein is joined in the form of foam and galleggiarono
to the island of Cyprus, where Aphrodite emerged from the waters
and the foam (hence the origin of its name: the word "aphros" means
foam). Aphrodite had not then nor children nor childhood was coming
to the world as a young woman and completely formed. This is known
as "version of shell." Painted by Botticelli.
